Project overview

Quantil is one of the UK's leading suppliers of vegetable, herb, strawberry, and ornamental plants to the commercial and garden retail markets.

A family business, it has been operating for over 60 years, and prides itself on quality products and high levels of service.

Quantil is a progressive, pro-active business which embraces innovation. Following the success of the Growflo web shop, the business decided to embark on improving their internal processes with a new ERP.

The challenge

Streamline the existing processes, for instance, remove bottlenecks from the order process stage, and build time-saving additions to the system, notably integrating with their transport provider. Reduce costs on hardware, maintenance, and licenses.

The solution

Receiving orders via the Growflo web shop had already improved how orders were received. With the new Growflo ERP fully integrated with the web shop, managing the link between the two was improved, resulting in more efficient processing of orders.

As Growflo is fully cloud-based, integrating it with 3rd parties' systems via APIs is straightforward. This automation reduces workloads and provides information much more quickly. This benefited both Quantil and their customers.

The business was having to spend more money on internal hardware to run systems. Moving to the cloud removed this cost overnight. Additionally, lower monthly maintenance costs and user licence requirements resulted in yet further cost reductions.

The result

Growflo again demonstrated that flexibility results in improved functionality, which improves processes and performance and impacts positively on profitability. The business now enjoys reduced operating overheads and knows it has a system that can constantly work in sync with any future requirements.
